It was all quiet. Too quiet…
Hello, I’m back writing again after a couple of days hiatus.
I thought that it was all getting calmer when I wrote on Monday. I understand that some people won’t like or get what I’m doing with this blog and photos, so I’m not too surprised to have been the target of abuse on several occasions. After all, it’s no different than some other parents have experienced before.
But I draw the line at threats of assault. Especially when there are children within earshot.
Yet, that’s what happened on Tuesday morning as we walked along Broad Lane to school. Amazingly, being filmed threatening me didn’t seem to bother this person. It’s all rather sad, as I was filming what would have been a fantastic example of exercising care, whilst negotiating a tight spot on the road. All while there were people on the path nearby.
Thank you for all the kind words and messages, it’s been heartening that there so much support for what I’m trying to do.
Apart from this incident, Tuesday and today (Thursday) were unremarkable. Unremarkable for Broad Lane, that is, still too much for most neighbourhoods I would suspect.
The blustery conditions made our walk, laden down with guitar, clarinet and various sports bags, entertaining to say the least.
Today’s scores out of 10:
Traffic volume: 8
Stupid/careless parking: 0
Manners: 0 (and 9 for Wednesday)
No. of cars parking illegally:0
